Sorry for the delay. Here it is with the pass. seat mounted. I think it takes away from the looks a bit, but from what my wife says, its very comfortable. I like the angle of the sissy bar, I need to get it pc'd. I dont like the chrome very much.
T_Rob, he went with a Progressive Air Ride.
You guys are killin me with these sweet bikes. I am so pissed that I have the PM kit on mine simply because the wife wants on, and that option that the Heartland kit gives you is exactly what I need! My project for this winter is to take off my fender struts, and make a custom set that almost duplicates the Heartland struts and i'll either make my own seat, or maybe shell out the bucks and buy theirs then make the struts............doesn't look too difficult to make up. Looks good with the seat on it too, doesn't look too bulky. Of course nothing beats the looks with all that fender showing either!
Great job guys!~
@ TIPN8R...Yeah, I know...love the look of the short fender.
@ ttlpakg....another question...how's the dampening on the Progressive system? When you have it aired up with the wife on it, is it kind of like having the stock suspension? Or is it rough like it is when you have it lowered?
I have done alot of research on all the kits out there, and although they all have their pro's and con's, this one I'm choosing because of the all in one feature, and no need for me to make room for a compressor and such. I've chatted with Aaron from Climax about this kit, and they really have done their homework on it.
Can't wait to get one
Sorry for buttin in, but just thought i'd show you another direction to go in.....
trob,
The dampening on this kit is premeire. Extremely adjustable.I'll take some pics later of it fully aired up. Very much, if not, better than stock. My wife has ridden on it both before and after the install. She says, its better than stock. I like rollin around with it low, so it is a bit bumpy. OnceI air it up though - very smooth. Definitely recommend it.
Hey TTl, I bought the front end off e-bay for $275.Still new in the box.One of the best bolt-ons I've tried. It actually fit with no problems. It was an e-bay store, I believe epic-sun was the name.To my door in 5 days.I also had to buy an adapter to use 2000 up caliper on these legs.Bought it from J&P for $60.Billet and very nice anodized finish.Removable fender mounts also.
