I'm planning on finalizing a deal on a Fatboy at my local dealer tomorrow, and the last decision to make is whether I want to go with a 2008 or a left over 2007 for 1000$ less than a 2008 (would have to get it painted though as I can't stand the custom paint it has now).
So I was wondering if there are any differences between the two years besides the offset to the front wheel on the 2007 model?
08s front fork n wheel are not offset like the 07s
08s have new paint colors
08s have a extra fuel remaining on the speedo
about it on the 08 fatboy vs the 07s...
tourings have brembo brakes...and 6 gallon tanks.. etc..
Not much difference other than colors and a few glitches the 07' had, as in factory recalls one and two. They would have been already done on your 07 if your buying from a dealer.
If you ask the dealer, they can show you a tech sheet that will explain the differences. The '08 softails has several enhancements/changes to the frame
and rear fender assembly. Its structural stuff, not cosmetic, but nonetheless there were many changes.
