I'm just curious. How cold does it have to be before you decide not to ride your bike? It was 47 deg. this morning on the way to work and my hands were frozen after about a 1/2 hour on the freeway. Probably just need better gloves. When I was younger I could handle this kind of stuff without a thought. I'm in California, so I'm probably just a spoiled wus, but again, just curious. Also will take any input on some good cold weather gloves so I can keep riding in the morning.
The only weather that keeps me off my ride is snow/ice. Cold I can handle - got heated gear, etc... I've ridden plenty of times when it was below freezing.
Thank God for Texas! I ride all year and have ridden as low as 34 degrees but it wasnt comfortable for sure. I carry Ski bibs in the winter and wear them at night when Ileave work , theyare very nice.Leather gauntlets are a must since there is nothingas bad as frozen fingers.
Well I once rode my Norton Atals to work in 16 degree weather but I wouldn't recommend it. Damn I was cold.
Now, if it gets in the 30's I take my truck.

I will ride down to the low 30s, provided there is no ice on the road. Fleece lined jeans and chaps, along with layered clothing on top, with a balaclava and full face helmet keep me warm, and the heated grips help too!!
