Just a quick question, will the new 49mm front end of the Dyna bikes fit on the NT neck frame..? I like the fat forks of the Dyna bikes and just wondering if it might work......Thanx
The Dyna front end is wider between the trees than a softail. But since you can slide the bottom tree up you only have the pivot bolt to deal with. You might be able to turn it down in a lathe and rethread it. I had to cut the pivot bolt down when I put a Softail front end on my FXR. Only had to cut off 3/8".
Now that being said, you are going to have to come up with some fork stops, and the fork lock probably won't work without modification or at all.
Bottom line can you do it, Yes. Now how much do you want to spend to make it work. Good luck on your project.
