Lyndall gold or Z+ pads ???
The EBC's are terrible for brake dust on the wihitewalls so want some pads which reduce brake dust.
Do they need time to settle and where is the best place to get them??
Thanks in advance
Iput them on every bike I have. they have two versions the "GOLD" and the "BLUE". the "GOLD" ones take a very specific break in procedure that burns in the pads to the rotors. the "BLUE" pads are easier in the break in and cost a little less. I have not been able to notice any difference in stopping ability between them. Also, if you have polished rotors they are much easier on the rotors than other pads.
A note about the stopping ability. These things just do not fade. Even after some very enthusiastic twistys and hard braking they do not fade. Almost no brake dust either makes them great for show bikes too.
Oh, and another thing. The LRB pads will get rid of that stock Harley brake swishing noise that is so annoying.
I know, I sound like an advertisement for them but when you find a product that does what it claims you just have to tell everyone about it.
Will check out the "blue" as have not heard of these.
cheers
Red + compound are designed for our Metal Matrix Composite Ceramic material. No benefit to Stainless Steel rotors. None of the three harm your rotor. Myself and other venders offer better pricing than e-Bay to Hd Forum members only. You just need to look around. Personal service and a quick resolution to any problems, coupled with an Unconditional Customers Satisfaction Money Back Guarantee policy are some of the factors that should be considered when selecting components for your motorcycle. Lyndall venders take good care of the members here as HDForums are a great source for pooling R&Dâing and product evaluation. Some members here quietly use brand new materials for miles and miles, in an effort to bring quality products to market.
All 22K of you (and me) are riding more, testing more, and experiencing the riding lifestyle more than some other segments of the motorcycling internet community. One reason Paul loves this place.
I did not even consider the "red" pads for stock replacements. The "Z" pads are what I referred to as "blue". I think that is what LRB called them when they first came out.
The break in procedure on the "gold" pads is fairly aggressive for the novice. Several very hard stops and progressively faster speeds to seat the pads to the rotors.
