Looking for some opinions on installing the quiet baffles. My bike runs great and all, sounds great, but I want to tone it down a little. I have read that the back pressure increase can yield a little more torque but horse power goes down a bit. Any opinions on this?
Marginal difference in my opinion. You shouldn't notice any power difference.
Noise level at idle and cruise is noticeably more mellow. Sounds better I think.
Still pretty loud when you get on the gas.
Do yourself a favor and put some safety wire around the packing. When you go to take them out to repack or put the others back in it will be much easier.
They are a real bitch to get out if you don't.
I figure for 60 bucks, a low rumble that comes to life when the throttle is cracked will do. My bike sounds real good not but it really rocks the hood if you know what I mean. I have heard of the wire wrap deal. will 5 wraps do or more. Thanks,
