My 07 train leans to the left when I ride and let go of the handle bars. No problem while riding just curiosu to see if its normal. I have apes and saddle bags. Leans to the left only when I let go of the handle bars.
Mine veers to the left when I ride and let go. At first, I couldn't figure out why. Then it dawned on me.
It's all the extra weight on that side of the bike. Due to placement of family jewels.
I know on the 07 FLSTF w/200 tire, to get the motorbike to track or align the tires, they did in fact have to move the front tire over to the right/exhaust side. You can in fact see when you stand in front of the motorbike, look at the fender space from the fork on both sides of the tire, it is a good 1/4-1/2" more on the left side as you sit on the bike. I have heard this is not the case on 2008's. I am not sure if it is so on all softails with 200mm rears in 07 though, it is the case on the fatboys though.
Check alignment on rear, measure distance from pivot bolt (swingarm)to center rear axle on both sides, I think 1/4" or 1/8" (not sure which one)or lessdifference is ok, check your manual though.
My standard has been pulling to the left ever so slightly. I had previously checked the wheel allignment by measuring between the axle and swingarm pivot. Yesterday I tried the string method and found it took a half turn on right side adjuster to get it perfect. I'll find out today if it helped. My front rotor is warped which could alsobe causing it. I need to replace that and change fork oil to make sure they are even which may also affect it. My previous heritage and nightrain tracked straight as an arrow, so I know it's not normal.
Mine has always leaned left. I've checked the rear wheel alignment and my mechanic has checked it too. Looks like it is right on, but I adjusted it a little bit and it seemed to help some. I wondered if it is from removing the heavy @ss stock exhaust system. Maybe this has to do with certainparts of my anatomyleaning to the left?
