Another Seat Question
My other question is the Harley seat (with the rider backrest) in the access catalog. It's kind of funky looking, like the Sundowner, but with more padding. I'm just looking for max comfort for long rides. I'll prob take my Corbin that I have 10 million dollars in anyways (re-done twice- well one time was free because they screwed up) and have them make it a Gunfighter, and leave that on for shorter rides, just over to Santa Cruz etc.
Thanks as always for the input.
Have done several Iron butts over the past couple years on my 87 Heritage including a 5000 mile/7 day round trip to Sturgis.
There was a break in period. When I first got the seat, it was too hard and not that comfortable. 500 miles later it was great. I don't have the back rest but for long trips I put my travel bag in the passengers seat and lean back. With 18" apes it's like riding an easy chair.
Looks great, fits the bike great and is really comfortable. It will lower you a couple inches from stock. My seat height was about 26-27" with no suspension mods.
I'm riding an Ultra with a road sofa now. Again super comfortable but sits me up too high. Intend to swap with Explorer this winter.
