Default Check Your Wiring

As We were building My Bobber07 (Night Train)We got some intermentent firing, a check revealed that the wiring harness as it passed the right side of the battery was wearing thru @ only 1k miles! Friggin MOCO lack of Quality control. It was an easy fix, but should have NEVER happened.

Wasnt there a recall for that? I thought there was depending on your VIN. Might want to run your VIN through the HD site to see if yours is affected.

Run your VIN through anyway, Helix is right there was a recall because of an ussue with the wires (especially the positive battery cable) wearing through on the oil tank edge and starting fires with the oil lines onthe early production Softails.
I belive the cut off was November 1st of 06, bikes made before then were supposed to have the recall done. All bikes made after that had it incorporated in during production.
