It took years for HD to finally come around and design an auto tensioner.
Why? Because of aftermarket companies have been selling them for years.
The HD version is actually a very bad design as Sonar Chris pointed out, it will ratchet your chain tighter than a banjo string. Then you're SOL. HD missed again!
