I think the my Fatboy is Great. I like the overall look and styling of the fatboy and there are thousands of ways to customize them. If your main riding style is touring or 2up then think about a bagger. My next bike will be a bagger but the fatboy is staying in the garage for when I'm just cruzing.

Yes I've spent a lot of money on mine (enough to have a decked out Touring Bike),
but I didn't want a touring bike. Maybe in the future, but not now.

Different strokes, for different folks.
That's exactly what I was trying to say. I wanted him to think more about what he might need a few years from now. I have almost $24 grand in my fatboy and still don't have bags or a windshield because I like the way it looks without that stuff.

Here's how my situation changed... My wife rides with me a lot more than she used to and like most women, she always wants to bring extra clothes and other junk with her. We tried a bungee net to carry her crap but that was a pain in the butt so I bought a SAC bag for the sissy bar. It seems like the bag is always filled to the brim and it looks like sh_t on there. I'm not spending any more money on the Fatboy because it doesn't work well for us as a two up ride. She's been bugging me to buy a touring bike for comfort and wants me to keep the Fatboy for riding by myself. I'd love to do that but I can't justify (or afford) two bikes in my garage.

I love mine. But this is my first and only Harley so I'm not able to make comparisons between other Harley models.

Wife likes it, junior loves it (rides with me along the driveway when I get home).
Bike handles very well. 36-40 mpg. No problems at allafter almost 12K in the odo.
I sold my 04 BMW RT1150 and got me an 07 Fat Boy. Couldn't be happier.

Okay I know what you're saying now. The Touring bikes are nice and maybe I would have one, if my wife would ride with me.

But that's why they make everything detachable, windshields, saddlebags, backrests luggage racks for trunks.
2 minutes you go from a bar hopper to having plenty of room for the wife's stuff. (well almost enough room for her stuff. She's gonna use all you got)

Here's what I mean:
(I have a Harley Shield if I ever go on a big ride, this is just a sport shield that comes off in about a minute, loosening four bolts)

calling eveyone that owns one of these great machines ...how do you like them..? ...how do they handle compared to the others being they have the thicker tire on the front..? saw one today at the dealership two tone copper and black chrome lots of it it was beautiful....so beautiful I maybe getting a divorce over it...JK opinions please
Hard to add to what others have been saying; except I own one you saw.

My Fatboy is a 105yr Anniversary limited edition. Mine is number 222 of 4000 to be made with the copper & black. (You can only get these colors when you buy the anniversary model).

It is a kin to a freight train on rails. Very stable, pulls hard, and won't let you off. I bought mine this past July (16th), and I'm coming up on 6,000 miles.

Well I went from retirement (sold my last road bike back in 2002) and rode only dirt bikes uptill the arrival of the 07 FB. Must say, I wish I would have got into the Harley thing years ago. Can I recommend the Fatboy? Bloody oath.

I have to agree with Bikergirl. Baggers are better for touring, but Fat Boy's are better for all around. I bought my 06 used and saved a lot of cash. It is perfect for me.
