I don't know.......I do get someengine pulse or whatever you call it, but ain't that part of having a softail? If it bothered me that bad I woulda gotta dyna! [&:]
It seems that with the 96 inch motor there are more power (tourque) pulses then with shorter stroke motors IMHO .
I for one find the power pulses so bad that 6th gear is unusable below 75 mph!
I want it to quiet the clatter in the tranny, and give it more usable rpm range per gear. I don't care who makes the damn thing. First kid on the block gets my money. Ron
IDS stands for Isolated Drive System. It's essentially a rubber segmenteted ring that goes insde a specially built drive sprocket. To absorb "pulses from the engine/tranny. When the Moco went to the six speed and the 96 motor it seemed to be affecting the touring models more because those guys "cruise " in 6 th gear more than us, so theMOCO made one for them. Just another case of we (THE MOCO ENGINEERES) could not get it right to begin with, so here is an after market gizmo to correct our lousy engineering!SO WE CAN CHARGE YOU ($305.00 PN#43932-02 )FOR INSTEAD OF INCLUDING IT IN THE FIRST PLACE !
It's standard now on the 2008 touring models and the "fix" only fits 2007 touring models........HOCUS POCUS...... Watch carefully my hand will never leave my wrist!
I think that part of it you got wrong. I'm pretty sure it goes HOCUS POCUS......... Watch carefully my hand will never leave you're wallet!

I agree. 6th gear = 75 mph or it shakes the **** out of you imo.
