Hi Kara- A belated congrats on your Fat Boy. I traded a 07 Sportster 1200XLC for a 06 Fat Boy last month. I love the Fat Boy and very glad I made the switch. I bought the 06 with 2200 miles because I didn't want to pay the extra $$ for a new one and I have a read a lot of literature on the heat/tranny whine issues. I have noticed the Fat Boy is a lot noiser (engine and trans) than my Sportster was but just figure that is the way it is. My 2006 is not really broken in yet and I plan to go to SYN 3 at the 5K service and see what happens with the noise. However, I am not conncerned at all. Also entertaining the idea of a oil cooler. Good Luck , Jack
