you're probably right.... so, I've decided not to mess with that part of it - yet. I'm gonna concentrate on moving my floorboards, gear shift and brake pedal. then ride a while.... maybe revisit this change next spring.
I have the TVII on my 05 Deluxe, and have also installed a TVII on a friends RK Custom. We are both pleased with the automatic self tuned A/F ratio & performance from the system. As for limitations you would have to do a serious build before the TVII is unable to adapt to the changes. They also offer a hi Perf model for big build engines. Now the TVII are a plug & play application. When I did the teo installs thgey had to be cut & soldered in. Stillwould recommend the TVII.

Excellent info. I am leaning towardy the TVII, and this help me lean a bit further! LOL
I am not planning on heavy mods to the engine, so I expect this will be the route I will go.
I went through the same thing six months ago with my softail custom. The easiest thing was to pick any V and H pipes and add a Fuelpak. Easy to install and runs great.
You can get a new set of full pipes on the internet or eBay for a pretty good deal. I just paid $440 shipped for some V&H Big Shot Staggereds. That's more than the 299 for the slip-ons, but it's a better long-term deal. There's no reason to pay full MSRP on pipes in this market, especially when you can easily install them yourself.
