IMO if you aren't having any trouble with your RUSH,
then you shouldn't have any trouble with just changing pipes.

If you change your air filter to a high flow unit, then I'd definately do the Stage 1.

Of course I'm not a certified Harley-Davidson mechanic, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

You need to have a stage 1, PCIII USB, or Race tuner with the Big Radius to richen up the fuel.
My PCIII fits under my seat.

NICE CHOICE with the Big Radius pipes! Dont forget to crack 'em under the bridges!
It's only been a few weeks, and I'm in winter withdrawls!

I would trash the stock baffles and get the Thunder Monster baffles from Big City thunder. You will love the sound yet not lose your low end torque. I have the PCIII from FuelMoto. If I had to do it over I would get a SERT.

You dont HAVE TO do a stage 1 upgrade, although it is recommended. I ran my VH Big Radius pipes on my bike for a couple of weeks before I did the A/C and comp. upgrade and it ran just fine. This question gets asked over and over and it seems like people are always scared their bike is gonna "blow up" or something if they change out their pipes.....im sure most of this fear stems from the dealer filling peoples heads full of b.s. I went with the K&N filter and PCIII from FuelMotto when Idid my upgrade and it did make a huge difference in performance over just running the pipes by themselves.

Good luck and stay safe,
