i have been using the battery tender for 3 years now no problems. suppose to extend the life of the battery, we will see. i replaced the battery in my bike last year, when i bought it had a cheap battery in it and i really don't know how old it was. all a friend told me is to check the acid level in the battery once in a while.

Battery Tenders are great products and the one you have is for
if what you are chargingvehicles outside, instead of in a garage. That's why it's waterproof.
It looks like yours only has the clamps to hook up.
I would recomend trading it for one that has the plug set up,
that leaves a pig tail hooked up to the battery all the time.

Here is the double unit so you cancharge two different vehicles at the same time.
But it looks cheaper to just buy two units.

FYI - The Harley Battery Tender is made by Deltran like the Battery Tender Jr. The diference is the cool Harley Logo and about $10.00 more.
You can usually find the Battery Tender Jr. at most bike shops and usually comes with the quick disconnect cable to wire to your machineand alligator clips.
