I just put a Memphis Shades windshield on my bike....the biggest one they have. I like it but now I have quite a bit of wind coming below the windshield, hitting the tank, and going right up my chest and hitting me in the face.
I'm looking at some lowers to solve this problem. How well do they work? Do they cut out all the wind that hits you in the face? Or just some of it?
Anybody have any opinions on which ones (these two or any other ones)work best?
My final goal is to mount these suckers on my windshield bracket so I can remove them with the windshield...don't know how fiesable this is until I actually get my hands on the lowers.
thanks for the response....
I looked into the Memphis Shades lowers and I saw that they clamp onto the forks. It seems like a fork clamp would bend my tinwork depending on where on the fork they mount. Does anyone have experience with the Memphis lowers on a Fatboy fork?
I'm trying to get a picture of my bike to post but I haven't had any success yet and I'm too impatient to read the help section...we'll see if it works this time...
Buy the Harley ones. They're cheap. 40 bucks. 60 bucks, somewhere around there. They're even notched so if
you have a crash bar (excuse me, engine guard). I put em on this time of year, and run em til May. Soft lowers when
it's real cold. The really do work. On & off in 10 min (10 seconds on the soft lwr's)
I also have the Harley deflectors and love em. I installed them about a week after I bought the bike. I have never even thought of removing them. They are, however a beotch to clean behind the turn signals.
That's the Mustang touring seat right (1st pic) Which rear seat is that? I just picked up a Mustang seat on ebay (the wide touring)
The passenger section is HUGE!! Does Mustang make a smaller rear secion that'll work w/the touring seat and backrest?
Sweet bike by the way!!!

Yes they do. I use to have the Mustang Wide Vintage Solo and had both rear pads the wide one for passenger comfort and the skinny one for looks and when Imight need to give somebody a ride. I'm not sure which model and year your bike is but I have an '07 with the 200mm rear tire so it's a different model number than you would have, but I just ordered mine direct from Mustang so give them a call.
