Problem is, the reason I *used* to do leatherwork professionally is that you really can't make a decent living at it. Most people will tell me they'd pay lots of money for custom work, but when it comes down to actually placing the order, well... For me, that bib panel was a spur of the moment thing that I slapped out pretty quickly. But, even so, it represents two and a half hours of labor. Most of the pieces I did for sale ran from four to twenty hours of labor.
The only folks I know who are making decent money in leatherwork sell primarily to the BDSM folks. *They* are making a killing. I've seen them sell replacement hardware at as much as 100X the wholesale price.

. You're right about it just starting though. This little piece here was just me "marking my territory" to make the bike mine. [8D]
