Seat Removal Help!
I must be doing something wrong - am trying to get the seat off my 06 Heritage Classic - and I can't get it to budge. Is there some sort of trick to removing it? I undid the thumbscrews on either side of the seat and also the one behind the passenger seat. And I can't get it to budge in any direction. It is as if something else needs to be undone? I have looked at the manual and it too says to loosen the three thumbscrews. But it ain't working for me. What am I missing or what am I doing wrong? Any insight or guidance would be appreciated since I have been out in that cold damp garage for nearly 45 minutes and am starting to freeze my S#@!^% !!

RE: Seat Removal Help!
Annie,
I just helped my friend remove the seat off his heritage too. It threw me for a minute becaue on my bagger all you have is the screw on the rear fender.
Here's what I found: The two allen screws on each side of the rider seat seems to have a spring or clip holding them to the seat bracket. Even when you loosen them all the way a part of a thread still entends into the frame making it impossible to pull the seat off. After removing the rear screw on the fender and loosening the two allen bolts under each side of the seat, lean over the seat and pull out on the two bolts and then lift up. Let me know if this helps.
