Nikon,

Aesthetically speaking I wouldn't add a thing, that bike looks awesome.

***It would be nit-picking on my part, but maybe air-suspension??**

I like the flush mounted gas caps, but not sure if I would like the LED gas gage on your bike. Very nice ride.

I know the feeling of loving to just tinker with bikes, it is part of what motorcycles is all about for me.
For that bike however you have done it just about perfect, leave it alone...

I have a friend who buys every skull\eagle piece he comes acrossand throws on his HD every chance he gets and it is a real joke among us.

Maybe it is time to start a new "side" project and just enjoy the beautiful creation.

well after a couple of days and numerous members responding to my post it seems that most thing i should quit now and leave well enough alone. some say start another project or get a naked woman and work on that mmmm that's always a good winter project. any way i still have the nacelle on my mind and would like any help any one can give me on this subject, I know i have asked this before and there are a few members who have added the nacelle to there deluxe so I know it can be done. I want to know every thing i need to know before getting started. i know that something has to be done to the passing lamps in order for them to fit unless you change the passing lamp bar to the heritage one. i believe that there will be an opening if you use the stock deluxe raisers i would like to see what this looks like any pictures would be nice. also any detailed help i can get will be greatly appreciated. I liked the idea of the flying wheel air cleaner cover but I checked with the local stealer yesterday and he said no way that means it probably can be done but I cant see it clearly so ill have to pass for now on that. I know that I am close to being done with this bike but I also know I can make one or two more moves to make it just a little better and the nacelle is the one I believe will be a great addition. I would put another air ride system in right now if I knew it would perform the way it is supposed to. If i put one in and have problems legends will not back me after all the trouble I had with the first system I put in. They cant believe it but I not only spent to many hours trying to figure out what was wrong with it but also had three top bike builders from my area try to get it right. in the end i got my money back but nothing for my efforts and the other guys who had a go at it. legends admitted there was a problem in the end but played it down. one problem was that when they sent me parts like a compressor or a new set of shocks they were never new it was stuff that came back to them and was supposed to be tested and corrected this is a problem the bench test is one thing but on the bike is another. When drag specialties was trying to get my money back from legends they told them they wanted to give me a partial refund because the shocks were scratched what a joke they are attached to the underside of the bike and are exposed to every thing on the rode also they were removed a couple of times for new fittings and air lines. Enough about the air ride. I still like the etching idea its expensive i would consider doing the rare struts and maybe the lamp housings that is on the back burner just in case i run into lets say $1500 dollars some where.six speed tranny was mentioned I can live with out it. a music system was mentioned would be nice for the coffee stops but on the road probably would get a little drowned out i like the idea but do not want the speaker housings on the bike i probably could get them to look OK. i sure wish i could move the licensed plate but if I go below the tail light I am going to loose my pinstripe on the lower portion of the back fender that would work if it was completely covered but part of it would be exposed and not look so good also the side mount plate holder is not the right thing for the nostalgic look. I am not interested in a custom paint job I like the fact that the OEM paint and the tank badges are the things that say Deluxe. I am not trying to make others thing i have something other than a deluxe it is what it is and i am proud of the fact that I own a deluxe and its from the first year of production. I want to thank every member who chimed in with a comment or suggestion kind words are always appreciated this post was very helpful gave me the idea that what I have is worthy. I am please at what I have done and have always gotten favorable comments from the general public and now from my fellow riders thanks to all.
