Default IDS for the new softails---- maybe
Hey guys I called the main place at harley davidson,and talked to a rep. about why they dont have the IDS for the 07 or 08 softails ,and I was told that they have something on the drawing board,and are working on this,does anyone have any other information ?????? yo Bill

"yo bill" are you talking about sew on patches and such? I was looking for a Softail patch the other day at the shop and couldn't find one either.

Sorry, I'm sick in the head! Yeah, just pulling your chain on that one. "ID's". That's what my eyes saw first when I read that insteat of IDS.
The patch thing is true for me though. Couldn't find one.

Independant Drive System. Rubber inserts in the rear hub used for making a smoother ride.

Ah OK cool. Thanks. How much of an effect does this have on the ride from those of you that know about this. I'm pretty happy with my stock ride but this is kinda interesting.

Bonecrusher,do you notice the chatter in fifth gear,the ids will take care of that.

About friggin time they got on that one. It will cure the last complaint I have with this bike, the fifth gear clatter. Good to hear it's in the works.
