Why don't you have your local shop open up your cam chest and check your run-out. While your at it, take a peek at all the scarring on your low mileage oil pump. Then get back to me...ignorance is bliss[&:]

I would take the 88 over the 96 all day. But im partial to the 88, built a few 95 kits and love the results every time. stock 96 only makes a couple hp and ft lbs torque over 88 stock the 6 speed is the only plus to the 07 but more emission junk on 07 ups.Just depens if your ever going to performace or just ride stock if going to just ride stock go for the 96 if going to go perfomace go for the 88
