Default Do the 96 inch cylinders fit the 88 inch motors?

I am planning the big bore upgrade on my '03 Heritage, I have a buddy that purchased a new (08) Deluxe and had the big bore package installed right away. He is willing to let me have the original cylinders if they will fit my '03 88 inch. Yes/No????????

Thanks

They will fit. BUT they are the same displacement as what you already have. The 96" was created using the 88" motor and making the stroke longer. So the cylinders are the same size. I don't think you will be gaining anything by using them.

That's right the jugs are the same, they just changed the crank to increase the displacement, along with the pistons and rods, to keep rod angularity and compression in check.

OK guys, it's nice that you gave him the straight scoop, but how about some fun first. How is this for a reply: Yes they will fit, but you will have to put the front cylinder on the rear, and the rear cylinder on the front. The problem with this is that you will end up with 69 cu in. instead of 96 cu in. Don

You might do a search at Latus Hd. I read understand they have a different wrist pin and are not interchangable.

That's not funny!!!
Can you imagine how embarassing it would be to mix up the jugs on an 80ci. EVO?
You could wind up with a 8ci. Mo-Ped!!!!
