I am looking to put 12.5" to 14" ape hangers on my 06 Heritage Classic, andif anyone has pics of your Heritage with any of these bars, I would like to see them. I am 5'8" so I think 16" apes are out...
Thanks
I purchased my 2005 Heritage used with 16" apes. I have since changed the bars back to stock because apes just were not my style. I am 6 ft tall and the 16 apes felt pretty good but again it did not fit my style of riding.
Not a classic but its a Heritage with 12.5 WildOne Chubbys. Fit me perfect with stock risers but I do have the badlander seat on it so I am sitting lower than stock in the saddle.

Don't count them out yet! I am 5'6 with 16" apes. Though I have short legs, my torso is probably close to yours in length. I ride with my hands about 1/2" to 1" above shoulders.
Check out Chrome Lady, she has 14" wild one chubbies on her Deluxe.
Here is my deluxe with 12.5 chubby's. Trust me once you get apes you will want to go bigger. I would go for the 14's if you aren't sure. I would post a picture of me on the bike but i'm a 6'3 270 indian, so it wouldn't help much : ) My dad is 5'7 and he is comfortable riding my bike with the 12.5's.
I vote for 14's!!
(fingers crossed that my picture uploads correctly)

I wonder how much higher 12.5 wild 1's are compared to stock FLSTC bars like I have now?
Yeah yeah I know.. it's been how many years since I wanted to do the apes! [:@]
kids = no cash + just trying to hang onto the scoot if I can
