Looks good, and for your next trick, hide the wires.

I bent up alittle peice of sheet metal where the old taillight was then just welded it in place. I was able to just fill in the mounthing holes and stuff when the welder too came out good. Alittle bondo and it looks like its never there. I got the taillight off ebay for like 30 shipped to my house, and I made the bracket. I plan on just shrink wraping the wires and running them along the inside of the swingarm once I got the bracket all painted up nice. Ill post some finished pics once I got the tins back on the bike.

You could also try bending some 1/4" copper tubing to run along the edge of the plate frame and run the wires through it at least to the swing arm.
Glue it on with JB Weld or clamp it, paint it black or another color and it would hide them as well as protect them from water, rocks, and other road debris.
You might also considerusing some of the chrome plated corrigated copper water line as its easy to bend without kinking or some of the braided stainless steelkind.
All are relatively inexpensive (compared to anything that has an HD label on it) and easy to find in the plumbing section of your local hardware store.
Any of them would give it a more"finished" look than plain shrink wraped wires.
