I ran without the fuel pack and just pipes for amonthand it was ok alot of popping on decel. I changed the air cleaner and added the fuel pack and wish I had done it sooner. The bike runs so much better. Best thing would be to do it all at once or within a couple of weeks. I am glad I did not run my bike that way very long.
thats great to here i just ordered both a power commander (model III) and the Arlen ness big sucker so i should have them here and on the bike in a few weeks
Thanks again Guys
I put the SE air breather on my 07 FXSTC with a Cobra F2000r. Kept the stock pipes but drilled a hole thru the shorty mufflers. Worked great. I could not believe the increase in power.[sm=happy046.gif][sm=biker.gif][sm=bounceybounce.gif][sm=bounceybounce.gif][sm=bounceybounce.gif][sm=bounceybounce.gif]
They may be OK for the V & H pipes but I never got it right with my setup.. I talked to them several times and they wont give any Info on what does what ... I thought the bikeran good but still got a little popping every now and then... WRONG... Bought the SERT and tuned it..Night & Day...
ThunderMax is a good unit...I've installed alot of them but never owned one.. I'll stick with what I Know.. DYNOJET 250I and SERT or PCIII..
I ran mine on the DYNO last week to set my A/F and I'll work on the rest later after I do my Cam's... Skip
Definitely do not go with the SERT!! Have had, and heard way too many horror stories. i wish that H-D would just do away with it... Jsut another way for them to suck the unknowing for their money.... The FuelPak is the way to go: Do it yourself and you dont have to deal with your dealer at all!! The FP is way too easy, save time, money, and headaches and go with the FP.
Obviously you or the people you know that tune with the SERT do not know how to use it correctly! PCIII is very limited in tuning, if I had to do it over again I would go to a tuner that knows how to use a direct-link (cheaper than the SERT with same results) Had mine tuned with a SERT by a dealer that knows how to use both the SERT and Direct-Link with excellent results!
