I found an item I wanted on ebay and won the auction. Sent in my money order and waited. It's been almost a month now and still nothing. I've gone thru the buyer/seller emails (7 to date) and am still getting the run around. I did the 'item not received' deal with ebay. Still nothing. I've found out that there is little I can do to get my money back. I guess it's a crap shoot when you order from someone you don't know.
Feedback, or lack of feedback is a pretty good indicator of the seller's reputation, but not always foolproof. Payment via Paypal is also indicates a more reliable person.
Did you use USPS money order? I had that happen one time and i used a USPS money order so i filed fraud with the US post office and they sent a government letter saying they would take the funds from thire bank account or tax return and they promptly sent me the money so i would drop the fraud complaint. I of course did not drop it but told the USPS that i had received the money back. I dint know what action the government took but i know they take it serious.
I got screwed over once, but luckily I had used PayPal.
It took a little while (they wanted to wait to make sure) but they gave me my money back.
I cuss PayPal, but they are good protection.
got the shaft a couple of times but never any money.
once for 600 paid through paypal through credit card and credit card refunded the full amount no questios asked.
paypal is BS unless you use your credit card as source of funds. them its double protection. otherwise been good.
saved big $$$$$$ over stealership.
