No lie, I've got a neighbor who's Victory sat out in the yard most of last summer. He even mowed around it and let the grass grow up past the pipes. If it happens again this year I'm taking a picture.
In my neighborhood, if you leave your Harley outside, you can forget about it. It is already stolen. It would be gone by morning.
Heck, I havemine inside, under alarm. Last night I slept with my shottie, and I still worry. I'd like to chain it to the floor. With marine cable
that can't be cut.
I might get a camera, but I'd really like to invest in something a little more proactive. Like a mine field. Mines are cheap, in places
like Bosnia. Maybe I could get somebody to bring some back for me. Might be a problem when it's time to mow. But my
lawn guy rides, so he'd probably understand.
There's a guy in the apartment complex next door that leaves a Street Glide cabled to the post of the carport rain or shine. Don't recall seeing it move most of the summer. Heard the alarm go off a few times.
I know your pain. A fellow who live around the corner from me has his bike outside 24/7/365. And there's no excuse for it. His house is very similar to mine, and I've currently got three bikes stored in mine, and with a little jigging around, could fit in a vehicle (or several more bikes...). It isn't a HD machine, but regardless, I hate to see it sitting in the snow all winter, covered in ice. Maybe his garage is chock full o' crap, but he could pony up $35 for a cover at least!! It may not be illegal, but it should be!
I live by the idea that "if you are faithful with a little, God will entrust you with more". I love my bike and I am probablya little paranoid about it. However, it's mine and I feel like if I am spending $$$ that could otherwise go to my kids college fund or something, then I should appreciate it enough to take care of it. Besides with all the christmas gifts, birthday gifts etc. that others have given me over the last couple years, it is getting more and more sentimental as well.
70 Degrees outside today, here in the smokeys of east Tenn. I couldnt wait till today. Rode all day and evening. Its still 60 degrees. Cant wait until tomorrow.

Hey White Bread, your neighbor has his own problems, what you need to worry about is buying a smaller "Kickstand Pad".
Ain't that a pain in the ***, packing that 2x6x8 around every where you go? [sm=icon_rofl.gif]
