Default PC III questions

I'm thinking about doing the "stage 1" upgrade to my '08 Fat Boy. I've decided to go with the 2" Rush's and the SE A/C. I'm trying to decide which fuel controller to use.I've gotten the following quotes:

Fuel Moto -$607 for the PC III, Rush's and the Arlen Ness Big Sucker (of course, there is no labor in this)
dealer- $840 for the download, Rush's and the SE A/C
dealer - $1240 for the PC III, Rush's and the SE A/Cincludes dyno time
dealer - $1400 for the SERT, Rush's and SE A/C includes dyno time

I would like to hear back from you guys that have the PC III or SERT. why did you go with what you have. are you satisfied with it? would you do something different? also, did anyone have the bike dynoed after the PC III? why or why not? Jamie said he would program the PC III for my set-up.

thanks.

I got my PC III from Jamie at Fuel Moto. He saved me a TON of time and $$$. My local shops wanted $379 for a PC III with a canned map. If I wanted a custom map, I'd have to have it dyno'd for another $250. I explained to Jamie that I was doing a 103" build, and gave him my mods. He sold me the PC III for $279 WITH a custom map just for my mods. Works great.....Highly recommend Fuel Moto. AND, if you ever change your mods, call Jamie, and he'll e-mail you a new map. Great choice for the money.

Agree with the previous reply. Get everything from Fuelmoto and if you don't want to install it yourself take it to an indy (you do know which good indys are local to you, don't you? If not you might want to ask around and go and get acquainted with them, because your dealer is not your friend.). With a PCIII and a map from Fuelmoto, you don't need a dyno. As for a SERT, I'd only consider it if you are planning to do some serious engine work later on (it adjusts more parameters than the PCIII, but is also "married for life" to the first bike it's installed on). Otherwise, the PCIII is more than sufficient for your needs.

I did not see the thunder max in your choices. If you were going to pay for a dynotune you would be better off with the thunder max as it would never need dynotune.

I got the PCIII too, had some decel pop, and they walked me right through it until my pop was gone. I've got wireless internet in my garage and a laptop, so I could download maps right next to my bike with my laptop and load them on the bike while it was running. freakin awsome
