Just bought a cross bones, picked it up Thursday. Have not had a chance to ride it much yet... weather unco-operative.
I was concerned about the seat too. Bur after riding it home found it to be a very comfortable position and ride. Pipes have to go
too quiet. want to put vance and hines short shot staggered black pipes on but bike is so new don't know if they would fit.
Of course I'd change the wheels, seat, handlebars and paint again, so I'm not sure why I bought it in the first place. LOL
Oh yeah, black and chrome motor, fat front tire, and 200mm rear tire and smaller fenders. I remember now.
If I could afford two bikes, I'd buy a Crossbones now. Great looking bike that has a fat front tire and a 200 rear. Love the springer front end. Wish they would have used either a Deluxe or Fatboy rear fender though - I'm not into the bob look. Like the laced wheels, retro seat etc.
Saw one at the dealer and liked the X-bones. I would have probably bought the bones over my Springer Classic three years ago if I had the option then. In any case... Springers are just too cool!
I can tell you this, 10 minutes after i saw my first Cross Bones, I was in the salesman's office doing paperwork! I rode it home Friday and it is sweet! I never was a softtail guy, but that spring seat is nice.
