I'm writing an article about The Terminator films, and I want to know if the T-100 would be able to ride the 1990 Fat Boy he uses in T2. Basically, I want to know what amount of weight causes the springs bottom out and the suspension to stop working.

What's the weight limit of the HD Fat Boy?

You realize thatthe Terminators are NOT made out of old heavy steel, and more likely of a lighter and stronger material. like carbon fiber, titanium orsomething else. Assuming this, there is no way a Terminator will do what you ask. Have you ever seen those guys who ride Harleys and like 6 or 8 of them are hanging or standing in one bike while moving? bike is steady as a rock and they are no light weights.
About time someone set out to prove that movie wasn't a true story : )
Just giving you a hard time. I love that movie. The one thing i noticed, the headlight never comes on when he starts the bike or at any part of the movie.
A fair amount. Check out the pic below. I had a ton of crap strapped on to my Fatty for 3 weeks, and as long as I had the load properly balanced, notice no ill effects on the handling, or any tendency to bottom out. And I weigh 250. (give or take...mostly give...lol) That may be a touch less than your average T-1000 Terminator model, but on the other hand I can pronounce California correctly. (along with most other words in the English language...)
