I just installed my PCIII this weekend also, and the bike runs sweet. Yes the space in there is tight, just push everything down, the cables won't brake. Check if you plugged the connectors in the PCIII correctly. In my FB there are3 cables that connect to the + and 2 to the - side of the battery. Did you forget to connectthe fuse box cover?That's where thesecurity systemis connected.

About 10-15 hours at 1.5 amps output (a typical M/Ctrickle charger's output)
Get a Battery Tender, they are the berries. They have a simple charge progress light: Solid red means charging, flashing green means the battery is 80% charged, and solid green means fully charged......
