Just be careful - I've heard of more than one case where the previous owner and/or current seller claims the bike has some engine work that wasn't there. Its kinda hard to check...

Congrats on the new purchase!! I cant help with the chrome issue, im not much of a detailer. Maybe take it easy on the CAPS LOCK though.
Again, sounds like a nice bike.
