I found a great set of true dual head pipes by bassani. They are a good price, but the lady says they fit 05-06?with no 02 bung. According to thier website, they have 2 models. sft-211 (softail) & sft-211cl (says 07 models) I am assuming that the only difference is the 02 bung? That being said, my bike is a 1995 evo. Im guessing they will fit, was just making sure that they are more or less universal. Tried callin bassani & they are cloed & I wanna seal this deal before they dissaper on me.
I didn't think pipes for a Twin Cam would fit an EVO?
And I doubt pipes for an 07 Softail will fit if for no other reason than the frame is wider to accomodate the wider 200mm tire, swing arm, and fender.
thanks for helping with the 07 issue. That makes sense. All of the sampson true duals fit 95 thru 06..I think Im gonna go for it , if not... it'll make a good, uhm.. [sm=bangbang.gif]reason for the "boss" to say I told you so again
If it fits an 06 it "should" fit an 07 as the frames are the same between 06 and 07. They both have the 200mm rear. The only other difference between 06 and 07 is the bungs for the O2 sensor.
I still have trouble believeing that there is no measurable difference between the TwinCam and the EVO exhaust ports.
actually I did some digging in the j&p tech section and found this [:-]

the exhaust port on a twin cam is in exactly the same place as an evo, so as long as the front pipes first bend will clear the bigger cooling fins on the twin cam, any pipe made for an evo will fit a twin cam
