Default minor oil leak

while washing my bike, i noticed some leakage around the top oil line coming out of the block. is that something common that can be easily remedied and has anyone dealt with same issue?

NO ,your line might not be seated. First thing I would do is make sure it is pushed in good.Manual has instructions on how to replace the seal in line I believe but have never done so my self. Maby some one else will chim in. If it is the the seal on the oil line looking at the manual it doesn't look hard or expensive.

Mike,
How new is the bike? I had a small oil leak from the the bottom oil line (I think.) It stopped after around 150 miles, I have not seen any oil since. I just attributed it to breaking in. BTW, '05 Softail Deluxe.

the bike is an 04.i bought it used with 4000 miles on it and have only had it for 2 1/2 months.
maybe i was too excited when i made the purchase but it was what i wanted. i'm not afraid of a little maintainance and plan on putting alot of miles on her so eitherway i'm ready for the long haul.

sometimes the seal is not seated. it almost looks like plumbers tape very simple to fix. sometimes you can just pit a wrench on the fitting and tighten it up
