Your love how it rides, especially with the extra springs on that seat, I hit a nice pot hole today that would of taken out a couple discs on my back if I was on my 79 flh, hardly felt it on the Cross Bones.

Awesome on the new scoot. How does that seat feel ? I am anxious to see one in person .
i haven't had it out on the road yet. still way too much salt and snow on the roads. i'm not 100% sold on the seat. it sure feels comfortable but it really elevates you above the bike big time. i like to feel like i'm riding in the bike not on the bike (if that makes sense). i'm thinking about swapping it out with a lepera bare bones orsilhouette... pictures do not do this bike justice. i'm really happy with the purchase...

Congrats on the new XBoner!

I just recieved a Harley Parts & Accessories catalog in the mail today and they have some nice pictures of the Crossbones all done up. They have a passenger pillion and a really cool lookin backrest too.

Have fun making the bike your own!
i'm looking forward to flipping through that catalogue. too bad that backrest requires the rear turn signals to be relocated...

If you look at whiteguy's posts you will see that he ground off the back of his sissy bar to make it fit without the relocating kit for the turn signals, but he also lost the quick release by doing that, which if your not going to be taking it off really wont matter a bit, and the bike really does look better with it on.

Before you change that seat, spend some time in it. I really like it. I have spent 3 straight hours on my new crossbones a few times now and no butt burn. If you are just about riding around town I guess it doesn't matter. But if you plan on doing some trips you will be happy with it. I think it is the size, giving you lots of room to move around andthe springs. I live on Vancouver Island and it seems like we have nothing but tight, twisty roads with bad pavement - the bike works great andit sure does not feel like it weighs 700+ pounds. The reason I have done those long rides is that the time just flies by. I start out thinking I am going for an hour, next thing I know I am 2 hours into it and an hour from home. Love the bike.

Congrats on new scoot. I got mine at start of Feb. and have ridden 'bout 450 miles so far. I know what ya mean 'bout the seat, but after a few miles I'm not sure I would change it now. I would like to get a set of skirt blowers for it and maybe a little taller smell me's, but seat makes ride better than other soft tails that I have ridden.

That is an awesome looking machine...congrats! Is the pinstriping stock, or did you have the added on already? I've yet to see a CB in person. I'm looking forward to it.

It can be installed without the quick release and the relo kit.... I got some chrome allen bolts, and 1/2" chrome spacers from Harley. Took the quick release mech off, and grinded about 1/4" off. Worked out great..
