Folks,
We all see lots of pics and read lots of comments on V&H, Rinehart, Samson and Porker exhaust systems, but I've yet to see or read anybody using Cobra. I ask, because Cobra has been making some of the best auto performance exhaust systems for years.
Anybody running a Cobra exhaust system now? If yes, I'd like to read your feedback on the quality and sound.
I can tell you that in the early 90's I purchased a set for Intruder and I had another set on a V-Star. Chrome was fine but didn't care for the sound on either bike. I don't like them but just my opinion.
I have a Cobra 2-into-1. I really like it. The sound is very deep. I also like that it's not megaphone shaped like other 2-into-1's. It's also fairly quiet at low speeds, which is nice when I'm goin' through the neighborhood. However, when I twist the throttle and open it up, the pipes have a very nice deep tone that sounds great! The peformance is good as well. I haven't had my bike Dyno'd, but the torque and horsepower gain is noticable. Cobra is also the only company other than Rinehart that I know of that offers a lifetime warranty.
I have a Cobra 2 into 1 on my 07 Fat Boy. It is a megaphone style. I have modified the motor, but this exhaust is helping to provide 104 HP and 113 Ft. Lbs of TQ!
