Put a for sale add on here. There are a lot of people here that will buy another bike if they like one. Sadly, I'm not in that position, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could sell it on here. Just post more pics.
DON"T SELL IT!! Keep it in the family. Get a digital camera and snap a bunch of photos as you begin the tear down and don't get in A HURRY. Use the photo's if you get stuck puttin her back together. It's simple process for the most part to break one down and then go back. Good thing about HD is that they haven't changed much over the years. And when it's done you can say very proudly that you did the work.
Thanks, my brother definitley wants me to keep it and tear it apart and make it my own.. might be good for us to work on the project together. We will video tape/photograph everything and see what we come up with. If I powder coat the frame black it makes it easier to sell since it opens the choices up on the tins. Does anyone know what rear fenders fit on the Softail Springer? Are the classic, heritage and other softail rear fenders bolt right on to the springer?
Ok, we are in the process of tearing it down.. got the tins off, pipes off, drained all fluids. Now what should be next? In what order should the bike be tore down? Any advice?
