Default Replacement Windshield Question

I got a Memphis Shades replacement windshield for my Heritage today. Question: when prying off the "straps" from the old windshield does it help to add a little heat, as in a hair dryer, to ease off the straps? Also, should I use red or blue Loctite when screwing it all back together? The original had a dab of blue, but the screws came out with little effort, which concerns me.

Thanks!

yep, little heat works well to remove double stick tape. re-assemble w/o tape, and a little blue loctite.

As above... and I used some thin steel fishing leader wire
to cut thru the old tape...sawing back and forth under
the metal straps...

I know they are acorn nuts but make sure you don't over tighten. I also bought a memphis shades replacement for my Heritage and the windshield cracked around 4 of the holes. I really don't think I overtightened but I am just sayin. Memphis did send me another one though free of charge.

I used blue loctite. You may want to remove it sometime. I also used heat from a heat gun to remove the straps.
