Default Windshield scratch question

I've always cleaned my windshield with wax, which has always worked well. The other day, however, I must have used a cloth that was was too rough. I now have scuff marks all over the place and it looks like all the wax didn't come off (cloudy) when the sun hits it at the right angle. Is there anything the will bring back the nice clear finish????

Had the same problem. The problem is the shields are coated, once you start trying to polish out a scratch you wear through te coating and it is all down hill after that. You might try a Google search or a glass dealer to find a way to clear things up.I had to replace mine.Good Luck

Meguiar's Plastix Plastic Cleaner & Polish here. Works good, actually buffed out some scratches using a small buffing wheel and the battery drill on slow speed also.

http://www.properautocare.com/meplplclpo2.html for a visual. I think I picked mine up at wally world.

Go down to your local small airport and pick up a bottle of LP Aero Plastics Inc Acrylic Polish and sealant for aircraft windshields or some equivalent. Works a treat. Acts as a filler. Will also work on visors and since it is clear i have used it on scratches in paint surfaces. No affiliation with the company

The best I have found and have used for years is Novus 1,2, & 3. Novus 1 is a cleaner, shine and protect version, Novus 2 removes small scratches, and Novus 3 is more of a heavy duty scratch remover. Most bike shops carry it, including Harley stores, in my area anyway.

+1 on the Plexus. They have a 3 step process from mild to severe scratches.
