I put chrome deflectors on my wifes deluxe. They mount on the windshield bolts. Problem is that the detach windshield won't go on now. Is there any solution to this problem. The windshield hits on back of bullet blinkers. Will it require a different windshield?
Thanks Craze
I have the Chrome Deflectors (Fangs) on my FatBoy, and I'm pretty sure they were mounted on top of the windshield - I had the windshield on the bike and I installed the wind deflectors over the windshield mounts. I'm really sure, it only took me 10 minutes and I had them installed. I have the nostalgic quick release windshield on my bike, so I think they are on top of the bushings the windshield locks into. The Harley instructions are pretty confusing at times, how they intermix the options and years, did you try re-reading the instructions??
Joe, She has a quick detach windshield. I have no instructions. I put them on my Heritage with no problem. I think it is because of the way the turn signals are mounted. I don't understand how you could put them on top of the windshield brackets.
Guess I better take them back and ask the parts man what he was thinking.
Craze
You may have them on the wrong side of the bike... The cutout on the deflector is NOT for the turn signal. It is there for the engine guard. I did the same thing last month mounting them on the wifes deluxe. Once I switched them from side to side...my problem was solved.

HMM, Guess I thought that would not fit, as it mentions 93-96 FLSTN, but not 04-08 FLSTN?
