I know this is an old thread, but I have a question regarding the flush mount LED cap.
I need to know how to remove it. I bought my Deluxe a couple months ago, and the thing only "kinda works". After filling the tank, I only get a couple of the lights. Sometimes a third light. Sometimes it just all goes out. Pretty much worthless.
I suspect the problem my be with the sender itself. My low fuel light will come on about mid way through a tank of fuel, then go back out.
Anyway, is there a way to remove it without destroying it?

fuel gauge side .....press down until it clicks.....it will pop open.....you may have to pull up on it but make sure it is unplugged at the connector first . use a pin to disengage the wire connector block .....pull out the wires through the hole .....remove the retaining screws and pull out the gauge body .
