With all due respect, I dig the front 1/2 but I just dont get the rear of this ride, its almost an after thought.
BTW, your garage floor is sweet.
I know what you mean--strikes me the same way. It stretches my perceptions. I think all customs must have looked strange at first...like a wide glide front end with a tall skinny wheel. Think about the springer softail with the bobbed fender, and ape hanger handlebars. It's all good. I thinkthe rocker looks likea younger guy's bike. (It pains me to say that, but they say you're only as old as you feel.)I can see Kid Rock ridin' this rig. I'd love to give one a spin. Looks fast, light and powerful. I like how open to the elements the riding position looks.
You haveone awesome lookin Rocker-C. I just ordered mine last week. Initially thought I wanted the pearl blue (sams asyours) but switched to crimson red on the day I made the deposit (feedback from wife).
I may post my in-progress upgrades beginning in May (only on rainy evenings). What I have planned so far:
saddlebags and thinking about the Riders Essential Kit (luggage rack, bigger pass seat, & windshield)
RE: pipes - spent the last week researching aftermarket pipes for the rocker and came to the conclusion that there really aren't any decent aftermarket upgrades yet. I researched forums & pipe vendor web sites. One of the vendor sites I visited said that the EFI mapping on the rocker is optimized for the 96" CI with use of factory pipes and we can expect GREAT low-end torque. I just want the DEEP HD RUMBLE but do not want to lose any performance in the process.
The chrome controls are one of the parts you see 100% of the time you are in the saddle. I have had them on all of my bikes. Just one of those things I "gots to have"
I agree. I couldn't afford them this go around maybe next. I just ordered the following:
Vance & Hines Big Radius (Rocketman69's Bracket)
Thunder Monster Baffles
Screamin' Eagle Heavy Breather
Race Tuner
Flush-Mount Fuel Cap and Gauge Kit
Willie G. Skull Derby Cover
