Hi all, I am about to purchase HD's Detachable Windshield for my 08 Softail Custom. Was wondering if I needed to purchase a relocation kit for the front blinkers or does the windshield fit nicely over everything.
RE: Detachable Windshield for an 08 Softail Custom
Same bike here- I bought the quick release HD shield with the clamp mechanisms and it's easy on/off and does not leave any hardware on the bike. Be aware that even though it blocks a lot of wind, it does however creat a great amount of updraft under the shield. Frustrating, but I'd still rather ride with it on that without it.

You should consider the Windvest. I had the HD Quick-Release windshield. In my opinion, the Windvest looks better, works better, and is less expensive. Plus, you don't have to relocate anything. To mount it and take it off, it only requires one allen wrench to remove 4 allen bolts.
