i agree they need to do some reasearch,i think they arereally good people and mean well, but they are clueless when it comes to this bike.i went and looked and those are the pics i was talking about. did that all come as a kit, switch housings, master cylinder, levers, mounting hardware etc.or did you have to buy it seperately in order to get it all,i'm actually looking in the parts book now and i cant find it as a complete kit,you have added alot of extras that my dealer says is not out.if there is any way you have the part numbers iwill i will just order online from someone else.
John,
I installed my V&H Big Radius exhaust today using Rocketman's bracket and installation suggestions and the pipes went on with no problem. Per Gibs suggestion I installed the tail pieces of the heat shields on the exhausts before install. There's not much room around the bracket, frame, and swing arm so installing the heat shields before mounting to the bracket and bike makes things easier. I don't think you'll need to replace your exhaust gaskets. Mine looked to be in good shape soI left them in place.
Thanks again Rocketman for providing your fellow Rockers with a bracket that makes the Big Radius exhausts fit and align as they should.
Silverdawg, Thanks for the pics, the scoot is looking good. Mine will be getting done next Friday. I like the frame inserts also. I think the last time I looked for them there were two different types you could get. Do you know which ones yours are? They just went on with double sided tape right?
gadawgsfan, I contacted V&H. Initially they told me about the oil tank, but after a second call they said the only issue was the bracket.
I dont have the package, but they are the ones that are tear drop shaped and are not as flat as the other type. Hope that helps.

I did as well. I have to go back and adjust a bit as the gap shortens toward the end of the pipes. Gibs been great in trying to give me suggestions on how to get the alignment more "perfect". I'll try again tomorrow. My back hurts and I'm tired
Ok, It took me a little longer than I had anticipated, but I finally got the Vance and Hines installed with Rocketman's bracket. I did have to drill it out a tad to get a more consistent gap between the pipes, but it works great. The pipes are significantly straighter from the headers than those that have utilized the V & H bracket. The toughest part of the install is getting the gap between the bikes to be faily consistent between the front and rear pipes. Mine is pretty close to perfect, just a slight decrease in space toward the rear, but not too much.
It really needs the SERT as she is running a little rough since the high flow A/C and the addition of these pipes, but she sounds f-ing great!! Here are a few photos of how she sits...
silverdawg that thing looks great man. i cant wait to finish mine.its hard to tell from the angle of the pics that the gap is not exact. still looks awesome
SilverDawg, Your FXCWC is one sweet ride, I love the blue, I have not had the opportunity to see the bike in person in any other color but black. I have a Thunder Mountain Keystone right now and am wanting a Rocker C, but I think I'll have to wait for them to become more readily available before I buy. After seeing yours I've just sold myself on a set of the newV&H BR2-1. I really like the V&H BR2-2 like yours but just to be different I think I'll go w/the 2-1. What is the big deal everyone is talking about with aftermarket pipes on the Rockers?
