I'm a bad girl and don't yet have a manual for my bike. Would one of you please be kind enough to scan and email me the pages from the manual about doing the 5k miles maintenance and everything that gets checked in addition to changing the oil? And if it's not too much trouble, I need to adjust my clutch and if there's an entry on how to do that, I would greatly appreciate getting that too. I'm really hoping I'm not asking someone to scan 20 some odd pages and don't mean to be a PITA. The manual is on my list of must buys, I swear! Again thank you in advance to anyone who can help!!! I think this would be another great place for my disclaimer...lol..... Hope you get what your looking for! Are 05's and 06's the same? I may know who to ask.
LOL!!!! You're incorrigible! Now I thought you were going to keep that disclaimer in your signature for just this sort of reply. Thanks for checking and yes, I think they're the same, but am not competely certain.
I know it's a must have. As soon as my tax refund comes in, it will be the first thing I buy, but that probably won't get here until May. Either someone will be kind enough to help or they won't. It just never hurts to ask.
Now that would be interesting. Probably most just take it in for that scheduled maintenance, but we like to do our own oil changes and the dealers charge around $300 for this service. Just need to know what gets checked/adjusted. And I've heard adjusting the clutch shouldn't be a big deal to do either. We've got to purchase manuals for both myDeluxe and my husband's Road King which will be $160 .
