Well, that splain's why the mags on my '99 Sporty did their thing and created the corrosion/dull spots. Crap.

Simple Green now has a product called Extreme Simple Green.
It was developed for aircraft (aluminium), and is non corrosive.

I know on car engines ive always sprayed it with simple green, let it sit a few min, then wash it off real good. Start the engine and let it warm (dry), then spray it with some protectant like armorall, black magic or whatever. Makes the black and plastic come out and im sure it doesnt hurt the rest.
