Crossbones Rear Fender and blinker project. "Pics!"
Here is the stock fender as purchased from Hog Pro. It's actually a Russ Wernimont Design. Hog Pro calls it the "DBO"

Cutting as much as possible using the stock fender struts. A true garage bob job!

As you can see we toy'd with a more curved rear cut, but decided the chopped look was what I wanted..

The finished cut..

Some clean up with the sand paper flap wheel....

The fender is meant to use all stock mounting hardware. Unfortunatly, the holes are "WAY" off... Still a nice peice of steel, but pain in the a$$ to get the fitment perfect...

Time for the "Duck tail" to come off!.. (That's me with the SH!$ eatin' grin)

Wish I could just run it like this...

Time to loose the stock blinkers and mirrors....

Here she is with her new Heartland Mirror/Blinker combo. I couldn't be happier with these mirrors. The round and gloss black powder coat, makes them look like they are a stock part on the Bones. LED's light up amber.

Here's the riders perspective of the mirrors...

Bike assembled..

[b][color=#cc0000][size=2]The reason I went with this fender is that I can use my stock rear seat andsissy bar. The tail light is the 50's stylerear brake light from Drag Specialties. The fender will be flat black, and the light will be powder coated gloss black to match the Cat Eye Console. It's almost a mirror image looking from the top of the bike. The rear blinkers are on back order, but they aremicro bullets from Drag Specialties in Gloss black/red LED. I also ordered the wire harness thatconverts the rear signals into running
I definitely think HD missed the boat with the rear fender on the bones. Just doesn't work with therest of the bike.
I went with a different cut because I hate showing off the gap between the tire and fenders that the Softails have. Myfender hides that.
