Go to Mustang website and buy one of there seats. Nice seat, pushes you up a little further.
I cannot remember the name, but it is almost the same style on the fatboy
I swapped my stock seat for the seat off a softail standard. It does push you up about 1" or so, and it is way more comfortable than the stock seat. More lower back support. And it looks nice. I have photos in my album.

hmmmmm, that's very interesting.... I did the exact same thing -I puta softtail standard seat on my '08 Fat Boy. HOWEVER, it moved me back about an inch and down at least an inch. I then had MCCrework it and put in theirmemory foam. that movedme back another1 1/2 inch and another inch down. I also extended the floorboards and am using extended shifter lever and brake lever. talk about a recliner on wheels. it's definitely not for the short-legged!
I agree with the Mustang seat - it will move you forward (maybe an inch or inch and a half) -I wouldn't recommend thewide vintage seat. it's so wide it will spread your legs and make you feel it's even taller than it is.
