Hey guys, looking for some info and opinion. Want to install quite baffles on my 07 Heritage, it now has V&H BSS and Harley race tuner, I had it dynoed when install was done. Does anyone know if this will effect my tune, or am I headed back to the dyno?
Switching from the regular baffles to quiet bafflesto your BSS, should not make a big enough difference to your air/fuel ratio to require are-tune.
Tom
I wanted to lower the tone and somewhat reduce the loudness of my VH pipes.
I've ordered QQ Quiet Baffles from Big City Thunder (www.bigcitythunder.com) on my '07 Fatboy (SERT, VH Big Radius and Roland Sands Designs Air Cleaner-it's a high volume K&N filter).
The Tech-person (Gail) said that since I dyno'd it at 1000 miles after the install, it's a straight swap. Pull the old baffles and install the new ones 6" from the pipe end. Just drill one hole to hold the baffles. She said it's not likely to need to re-dyno just for the baffle changeover.
If you want it to be as close as possible then yes another dyno tune. You could compare with a dyno run and see if it changed. That is why I waited till i got the sound i wanted before my dyno tune. You could just go to the Thundermax and it will tune for you as you drive.
I have the V&H BSS with PCIII usb. Installed the quiet baffle this week and starting getting popping on decel. So the answer is probably yes you'll have to make a fuel managment change. I contacted DynaJet and they sent me a map. Everybodies happy again. Good luck.
Thanks for all the input. I just putthe bafflesin, runs good a little quiter. The stealership said to put a new set of plugs in and check them after 100 miles to see if there is a problem. I am going to do that, and see what happens. Again thanks for all the good info.
